Baselayer, based in San Francisco, is building a next-generation identity graph for institutions and humans. This role puts you on the engineering arm of the Agentic Economy, shipping verification APIs, the MCP server, credential flows, demos, and reference implementations.

You’ll often build inside days for real-time counterparty verification in agentic checkout. You’ll participate in technical calls with partners, scope integrations on the spot, and own end-to-end delivery with our core

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping production software.
• Strong TypeScript and/or Python.
• Deep API design and integration experience.
• You've worked directly with customers or partners.
• Hands-on with MCP, LLM tool-calling, agent frameworks.
• Ability to take a demo from idea to working product quickly.

Responsibilities

• Ship partner integrations of our agentic economy products from first technical call to production.
• Build prototypes, demos, and reference implementations for partner meetings and conferences.
• Own the developer- and agent-facing quality of surfaces: API ergonomics, docs, samples.
• Get our MCP server listed and performing in hubs and marketplaces.
• Improve agent-facing experience: tool descriptions, error handling, design.
