Job summary

Baselayer, based in San Francisco, is seeking a highly skilled engineer to develop and maintain our AI Risk Platform. You will contribute significantly to building secure systems that automate crucial decisions, making a direct impact on financial institutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with OAuth/OIDC IdP, token issuer, signing service, or similar.
• Ability to read RFCs as primary sources and hold opinions on canonicalization.
• Deep understanding of identity and authorization distinctions.
• Production experience with async Python on Postgres.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain runtime issuer/mint and OAuth Token Exchange.
• Evolve the wire format and claim registry.
• Implement JWS verification and Web Bot Auth signature checks.
• Develop operator integration and embedded KYB onboarding.

Fluent in Python

Strong in Go

Production experience with async Python
