Job summary

Cleveland Construction is seeking a construction support professional to assist in planning and directing activities on our projects. You will help ensure work aligns with specifications and schedules while maintaining site safety.

The role requires a degree in construction management (or related), 1-3 years of experience, and strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and subcontractors across sites.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in construction management preferred.
• 1-3 years experience.
• Knowledge of jobsite safety.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical & structural systems.
• Knowledge of building materials, tools & machines.
• Must be proficient with technology.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work with a team both small and large.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean jobsite.
• Assist superiors with construction procedures, schedules, material needs, and worker activities.
• Inspect subcontractor work (ductwork, wiring, piping) for compliance with specifications.
• Examine blueprints to ensure conformance with building codes, local ordinances and specifications.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Purpose Summary

To assist superiors in planning, scheduling, assisting and directing activities of workers concerned with construction projects and to help ensure that work conforms to specifications and adheres to schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow established safety rules and regulations established by Cleveland Construction, Inc. and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Assist all superiors in tasks assigned to them i.e. construction procedures, specifications, work schedules, material needs, worker activities, etc.
• Inspect work performed by subcontractors, including but not limited to ductwork, wiring, and pipe installations, to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Examine blueprints to ensure conformance with provisions of building codes, local ordinance and specifications.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
