At Boldt, Field Engineers play a critical role in connecting project planning with field execution, serving as a key partner to Superintendents, Project Managers, trade partners, and skilled craft professionals throughout the construction process. This position offers a unique opportunity to be highly engaged on active construction sites, gaining firsthand exposure to how complex projects are built while helping ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Field Engineers are problem solvers and relationship builders who support day to day field operations, help remove constraints, and assist project teams in delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

As a Field Engineer, you will be an integral member of the field operations team, assisting with the coordination of project information, contract documents, drawings, schedules, and site activities needed to successfully construct our projects. You will work closely with field leadership to support quality control, safety initiatives, production tracking, document management, and project coordination efforts. Through participation in field meetings, look-ahead planning, and the Boldt Production System (BPS), you will help drive communication and alignment between office and field teams while contributing to continuous improvement and Lean construction practices. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, thrives in a dynamic construction environment, and is looking to build a long‑term career in construction operations and project leadership.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $84,000.00-$107,000.00 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Solid understanding of construction tools, equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to subject area.

  • A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.

Nice to Have
  • Experience on healthcare or other highly regulated projects such as OSHPD or HCAI

  • Highly organized and effective communicator with strong presentation skills; able to multitask, build relationships, and foster collaboration and consensus
