Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Engineer to support field operations for heavy civil construction projects in the Norwich, CT area. You will coordinate daily construction activities, review drawings and specifications, track quantities and materials, and help maintain project documentation to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires a civil engineering or construction management background, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office; AutoCAD/Bluebeam experience is a

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD, Bluebeam and surveying experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support daily site operations and construction planning.
• Interpret engineering drawings and assist with surveying and layout.
• Track materials, labour, quantities and project progress.
• Maintain daily reports, RFIs and quality control records.
• Ensure work meets safety, quality and project standards.

Job Title: Field Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction

Location: Norwich, Connecticut

Salary: $70,000-$110,000 DOE

Day to Day

Join an established, employee-owned heavy civil contractor delivering major bridge construction, highway rehabilitation and infrastructure projects across New England. You'll support field operations, coordinate daily construction activities, track quantities and materials, interpret engineering drawings, maintain project documentation and help ensure quality, progress and site safety.
