Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer for the Midtown Bus Terminal project in New York City. The role supports planning, layout, coordination, and execution of civil construction activities, including field layout, quantity tracking, and coordination with subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract documents and schedules.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 5+ years of civil construction experience, with proficiency in reading

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; 5+ years civil construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Construction Work Plans and Safe Work Plans.
• Prepare engineering drawings and shop drawings.
• Review Work Plans and Shop Drawings with subcontractors.
• Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations and work planning.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure work aligns with drawings and specs.
• Review drawings and RFIs; identify discrepancies or constructability issues.
• Support sequencing to maintain project milestones.
• Track quantities installed and assist with takeoffs and reporting.
• Maintain daily reports, inspection logs, and as-built documentation.
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, and field change documentation.
• Support progress photos and field records.
