Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation in Newark, NJ is seeking a Field Engineer to join the Newark AirTrain project site at Newark International Airport. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of construction experience and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

You will assist with project planning, coordination, quality control, documentation, scheduling, and communication among field crews, subcontractors, and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology or similar from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of construction experience on heavy civil, bridge, transportation, utility, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience with civil infrastructure or heavy civil general contractors; experience with structural steel fabrication and erection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management and field supervision with daily construction operations.
• Coordinate and monitor work performed by subcontractors, suppliers, and self-perform crews.
• Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, and contract documents for compliance.
• Track project progress and assist with schedule updates.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, production reports, and field documentation.
• Coordinate inspections with owners, engineers, consultants, and regulatory agencies.

The Field Engineer will assist with project planning, coordination, quality control, documentation, scheduling, and communication between field crews, subcontractors, and project management.
