Key Tasks

1. Hands-on integration of software and hardware components including software installation and configuration, network configuration, and telecommunications hardware integration.
2. Implements IT system solutions for networking, computing, and our proprietary communications equipment including conceptual, functional, and physical views.
3. Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
4. Conduct site surveys at customer locations to identify requirements for production and installation.
5. Prepare deliverable documentation describing site requirements and system configuration.
6. Install, service, and complete basic repairs of equipment at customer sites.
7. Integrate mission-critical systems components and perform system debug.
8. Conduct factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, failure location and analysis.
9. Supports system production team to troubleshoot and solve production issues.
10. Organize and provide detailed product and service training as necessary.
11. Solve complex field issues in coordination with the system engineering and development team.
12. Interface with customers.
13. Provide required reports to management staff, showing customer, type of equipment involved, status, and field resolution of complex service assignments.
14. May participate in remote system monitoring, maintenance, and tier 2 on-call support.

Key Qualifications

1. BS in Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience with IT systems and engineering.
2. 3-9 years’ experience in Systems/Field Engineering integrating, deploying, and supporting integrated hardware and software solutions in the area of networking and communications.
3. Demonstrates the ability to implement and apply best-practice engineering concepts.
4. Excellent problem solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
5. Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Log aggregation and reporting (ELK/Opensearch, Splunk)
7. Network analysis tools (Wireshark, Stablenet)
8. System monitoring tools (Zabbix, SNMP)
9. System security management and intrusion detection tools (IdM, SSL, IPSec/VPN, SELinux, AIDE)
10. Experience in routing and networking technologies
