Nations Capital Energy Solutions (NCES), LLC. is seeking an Energy Rater for field-based inspections serving Charlottesville, Richmond, and Hampton Roads, Virginia. The role requires travel to residential sites, conducting inspections and diagnostic testing per RESNET standards, and communicating findings to builders and the internal team.

Starting pay is $50,000–$60,000 annually with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, in a field-based capacity with a company vehicle provided for travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• RESNET HERS Certification required.

Responsabilités

• Conduct residential energy inspections in accordance with RESNET standards and company procedures.
• Perform diagnostic testing, including blower door, duct leakage, and HVAC airflow testing.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings.
• Communicate professionally with builders, contractors, and team members.
• Maintain inspection tools, testing equipment, and required documentation.
• Follow all required safety rules, procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software as required.
• Identify and resolve problems effectively while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
