Job summary

Sapphire Gas Solutions LLC (Sapphire) seeks an Energy Management Field Technician to support safe LNG, CNG, and field gas projects. You will operate, install, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems and instrumentation, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will train staff and customers, document activities, and support equipment maintenance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical Electrical Certificate preferred.
• GTI Energy Certificate for technical aspects preferred.
• 2+ years with AC/DC circuits, motor controls, PLC wiring, and low-voltage troubleshooting.
• 2+ years process instrumentation, P&ID drawings, and electrical drawings.
• 2+ years in natural gas operations, process equipment, engine or compressor mechanics.
• 1+ years of Allen Bradley, Siemens, Click PLC & HMI hardware/software preferred.
• Knowledge of LNG/CNG process flow and control theory.
• Knowledge of equipment and proficiency in operating equipment.
• Ability to obtain Texas LNG/CNG Certification.
• Valid driving license with clean record.
• Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and safety mindset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, email and mobile apps.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate, install, maintain, and repair natural gas storage/delivery equipment.
• Maintain process instrumentation and transmitters, calibrators, analyzers.
• Install and troubleshoot AC/DC circuits and PLC wiring.
• Program and configure PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.
• Document maintenance, parts, repairs and modifications.
• Train staff, contractors and customers on electrical/instrumentation systems.
• Perform low-voltage electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Safely perform assigned tasks following safety policies.
• Document daily activities and time/fuel usage.
• Develop knowledge of regulatory standards and internal policies.
