Job summary

Sapphire Gas Solutions LLC is seeking an Energy Management Field Technician to safely implement natural gas projects, operate and maintain equipment, and support LNG, CNG, and Field Gas systems nationwide. You will maintain instrumentation, configure PLC-based systems, and support rotating equipment while delivering top-tier customer service.

The role requires hands-on electrical and instrumentation skills, familiarity with PID loops, P&ID drawings, and the ability to train staff and customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; technical electrical certificate preferred.
• GTI Energy Certificate for Technical Aspects of Natural Gas Infrastructure preferred.
• 2+ years with AC/DC circuits, motor controls, PLC wiring, and low-voltage troubleshooting.
• 2+ years process instrumentation, P&ID & electrical drawings.
• 2+ years in natural gas operations, process equipment, engine, compressor mechanics, and/or gas compression.
• 1+ years of Allen Bradley, Siemens, Click PLC & HMI automation hardware/software preferred.
• Knowledge of LNG & CNG process flow & operations; able to apply to water/oil/natural gas/chemicals processes.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate, install, maintain, troubleshoot & repair equipment for natural gas storage and delivery.
• Maintain process instrumentation, flow, pressure, temperature, level transmitters, and analyzers.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and PLC wiring.
• Calibrate sensors, transmitters, and control loops for accuracy.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, schematics, and equipment specs.
• Train staff, contractors, and customers on electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Safely perform assigned tasks and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Document daily activities, times, and fuel usage.
• Develop knowledge of internal policies, government safety, and regulatory standards.
