Job summary

Intermountain Health in Utah is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to respond rapidly to emergency and non-emergency calls, assess patients, provide basic life support, and stabilize patients for transport to medical facilities.

This role requires operating ambulances, coordinating with other emergency services, maintaining equipment, documenting care, and participating in ongoing training to stay current with medical protocols.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of EMT Basic Course.
• Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assess patient conditions to determine care needs.
• Provide basic life support and CPR where needed.
• Stabilize patients for transport to medical facilities.
• Safely transports patients by ambulance to hospitals or facilities.
• Operate ambulances safely and responsibly.
• Communicate and coordinate with other services and with families.
• Maintain and stock equipment and supplies.
• Document care provided and patient condition.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with protocols.
