Job summary

Tooele Ambulance Services in Tooele, UT is seeking an Advanced EMT to respond to emergencies, assess patients, and provide life-saving care on scene and during transport to the hospital. You will document patient histories, coordinate with receiving facilities, and perform essential procedures with trained colleagues.

Required Utah Advanced EMT licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS or PEPP within 30 days of hire, and preferred 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold current licensure to practice as an Advanced EMT in the State of Utah.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS or PEPP Certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of experience and familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of an Advanced Emergency Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to an emergency call, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital.
• Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness.
• Communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
• Shift schedule includes up to four 12-hour shifts per week from 8:00 to 20:00.

Currently we are looking to fill the vital role of Advanced EMT. This position will be scheduled for up to (4) 12 hour shifts (8AM-8PM) per week.
