Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Service Inc. is seeking an EMT-B to provide safe and efficient response, treatment, and transport for emergency and non-emergency medical calls.

The role focuses on patient assessment, basic life support, ambulance operation, and meticulous documentation of care. Requirements include a MA Basic EMT certification in good standing, a high school diploma or GED, and 0–4 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current MA Basic EMT certification in good standing by the MA DPH OEMS.
• 2-4 years of prior experience preferred; 0-1 year related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in accordance with clinical policies, statewide protocol, and standards of care.
• Assess injuries/illnesses and provide BLS on scene and during transport.
• Attend to all patients in a courteous, professional manner.
• Operate the ambulance in accordance with safety rules, company policies and laws.
• Complete vehicle and equipment checklists at the start of each shift; ensure cleanliness and stock levels.
• Accurately record patient care and submit required PCR documentation daily.
• Document patient interventions in the pre-hospital setting.
• Communicate effectively with patients, EMS agencies, physicians, hospital staff, and the public.
