Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Service Inc. seeks an EMT-B to provide safe, efficient response, assessment, basic life support and transport for medical calls. Clean driving record and ability to work in a fast-paced EMS environment are essential.

The role requires completing vehicle and equipment checklists, documenting patient care and staying current with MA EMT-B certification. Requires strong communication and teamwork across agencies.

Qualifications

• 2-4 Years of prior experience preferred
• 0-1 years related work experience required
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel)

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in accordance with clinical policies and standards of care
• Assess injuries/illnesses and provide basic life support on scene and during transport
• Attend to all patients in a courteous, professional manner
• Operate the ambulance in accordance with safety rules, company policies and laws
• Complete vehicle and equipment checklists at start of each shift; ensure stock, function and cleanliness
• Accurately record patient care and submit required paperwork daily
• Provide documentation of patient intervention in the pre-hospital setting
• Communicate effectively with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment
• Maintain understanding of EMS principles at the basic level
• Interact professionally with patients, EMS Agencies, physicians and public
• Attend mandated trainings and maintain certifications and driver’s license
• Maintain attendance and perform daily housekeeping at bases
• Perform additional duties as requested
