Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit. The role covers on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electronic security systems for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Expect up to 25% travel and collaboration with project teams. Ideal candidates have a strong electronics background, 6+ years of related experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with electronics training.
• Graduation from electronics technician program or electrical apprenticeship.
• Minimum 6+ years electronics installation/maintenance on multiple systems.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems.
• Conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, and test systems for proper operation.
• Provide technical support to customers and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Enforce safety plans and company policies during field work.
• Track project metrics and participate in resource allocation meetings.
• Maintain documentation, including timesheets and commissioning records.
• Lead commissioning efforts and coordinate with owners and design teams.
• Mentor crew members and contribute to safety and quality objectives.
