Job summary

9 Mothers is seeking an Electronics Technician to own hands-on fabrication of cables, harnesses, and PCBAs for drone-counter hardware. You will build end-to-end wiring, verify continuity, and document builds for repeatability.

The role involves field support at test ranges and occasional travel, with work on rugged, military-grade platforms. You must read schematics, select proper connectors, and demonstrate meticulous workmanship and tracking of as-builts and test records.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician or similar role building and repairing complex electromechanical hardware.
• Expert-level cable and harness fabrication, including crimping, soldering, pinning, and strain relief.
• Proficient reading of schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings.
• Experience with DMM, oscilloscope, and power supplies for troubleshooting.
• Meticulous workmanship and documentation habits (as-builts, redlines, test records).

Responsibilities

• Build cables and wire harnesses from schematics or engineer sketches, using proper tools.
• Work across connector families including circular, mil-spec, D-subs, and RF/coax connectors.
• Label, sleeve, and strain-relieve harnesses for rugged outdoor/live-fire platforms.
• Verify builds and capture as-builts and redlines to speed future builds.
• Wire compute and control enclosures end-to-end; perform power-up checks.
• Do PCBAs rework and repair, including SMT component replacement.
• Set up simple electrical test rigs and log results for engineering action.
• Travel to test ranges for field support and live-fire events, per requirements.
