Job summary

NEURA Robotics seeks a hands-on Cable Harness Engineer to join our prototyping team. You will build, integrate, and optimize electromechanical assemblies, assemble sensors and electronics, and support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of early demo systems.

You will develop, build, and modify cable harnesses, plan routing, and create clear drawings and BOMs. Collaboration with electronics, mechanical, and software engineers is essential, as is a structured, precise hands-on approach

Qualifications

• Vocational training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in prototyping, cable harness manufacturing, or system integration.
• Strong skills in crimping, soldering, and cable assembly.
• Confidence working with schematics, technical drawings, and measurement equipment.
• Experience with connector systems, shielded cables, and cable routing.
• Basic knowledge of C/C++ is a plus and helps collaborate effectively with development and software teams.
• Structured, precise working style and a strong hands-on mentality.
• Good English skills; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, integrate, and optimize electromechanical prototypes.
• Assemble subassemblies, sensors, and electronic components.
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop, build, and modify cable harnesses for prototypes and pre-series systems.
• Plan cable routing, shielding, and strain relief concepts.
• Manufacture and rework cable assemblies.
• Create and maintain cable harness drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
• Collaborate with electronics, mechanical, and software engineers to improve assembly processes.
