Job summary

New Era Technology, LLC. in South Carolina seeks a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial cooling equipment at customer sites. You will work with electrical and mechanical systems and provide on-site service.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience repairing or maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, HVAC systems, manufacturing equipment, automation systems, compressors, pumps, generators, or similar machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience working on 200-440V electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up, and service cooling equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Replace faulty parts such as motors, sensors, relays, switches, actuators, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Read electrical wiring diagrams and basic technical drawings.
• Test equipment and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Complete service reports after each visit.
• Provide professional customer service while working onsite.
• Travel to customer locations when needed.
• Physical requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs; Stand, bend, kneel, and work at customer locations; Travel up to 20% as needed.
