Job summary

Upgrade Resources in Garland, TX is seeking an Electrical Service Technician for on-site work with commercial and light industrial clients. You will diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems, representing the company with customers and ensuring code compliance.

The role includes a take-home company van, an on-call rotation (~2 times/year), and physically demanding work in all weather conditions. Overtime and night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in commercial electrical service.
• Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Able to work 8–10 hour days, 40 hours per week, plus overtime and night shifts as required.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and routinely lift more than 50 pounds; physical work is more than 70% of the job

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot a wide variety of commercial and manufacturing electrical systems
• Troubleshoot and install motor control systems
• Complete commercial, manufacturing, and light industrial installations
• Install generators, UPS systems, and lighting
• Adhere to NEC requirements on every job
• Provide excellent customer service in client-facing situations
• Keep every jobsite safe, clean, and organized, with all PPE worn
• Take part in the on-call rotation, about 2 times a year
