Job summary

JM Test Systems, LLC. is seeking an Electrical Safety Technician to test and certify high-voltage safety equipment at our Mount Braddock lab and on customer sites region-wide.

You will perform dielectric testing, calibration, and inspection of gloves, hot sticks, cables, and meters while ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of handling physically active work in varied environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety concepts and high-voltage work.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Test and certify safety equipment to meet ASTM/OSHA/NETA standards.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot low- to medium-voltage instruments.
• Identify non-conformances and flag items for repair or decommissioning.
• Maintain testing records meeting accreditation requirements.
• Operate lab benches and track inventory; support setup and teardown.
