Job summary

APTIM Federal Services, LLC seeks a Project Electrician/Process Controls/Instrumentation Technician to support NAVFAC Environmental Services projects at NBSD, NBC NI, NBPL, and NBC NAB. You will perform electrical, control, and instrumentation work across multiple facilities and support DoD‑encrypted communications.

You will install equipment, test systems, collect data, troubleshoot malfunctions, and assist with design changes using field data.

Qualifications

Experience with electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Ability to perform testing, measurements, and data collection.
Willingness to work at military/DoD facilities and support secure communications.

Responsibilities

Perform low‑voltage electrical connect/disconnect work.
Install and remove electrical, control, and instrumentation equipment.
Conduct system testing, measurements, and data collection using standard test equipment.
Set up, operate, and document tests, experiments, and inspections.
Assist with design modifications by compiling and analyzing field and technical data.
Troubleshoot and correct system malfunctions, maintenance issues, and leak detection events.
Perform routine and as‑needed maintenance on electrical equipment and pumps.
Instrumentation and control systems, SCADA systems and communications.
Support DoD‑encrypted RF communications between pump stations and treatment plants.
Maintain and annually certify instruments such as level indicators, switches, and transmitters.
Document work using prescribed recording methods, software, and hardware.
