Job summary

Qualifications

Associate degree required; supplemented by three years of relevant experience or an equivalent education, training, and experience combination.

Responsibilities

Conducts field inspections at residential and commercial construction sites and reviews building plans for code compliance.
Issues notices of violations and works with stakeholders to achieve compliance.
Approves construction activities that meet building code requirements and maintains inspection records.
Consults with owners, contractors and the public regarding codes and procedures.
Maintains knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards and attends trainings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
