Job summary

SPATCO Energy Solutions is seeking an Electrical Helper to support on-site construction projects and work within a team environment. The role includes assisting in installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment used in the petroleum industry while traveling to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years working as an apprentice with an electrical company; journeyman card not required.
• Knowledge of electrician standards & codes.
• Detail oriented and technically precise.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs as part of duties.
• Work outdoors in all weather and meet time constraints.
• Follow all company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry.
• Install conduits, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors and petroleum lighting.
• Inspect electrical systems and components for safety and code compliance; verify proper operation.
• Advise management, customers and employees when hazards are present and safe operation is ensured.
• Assist estimator with material take-off, material cost and labor allowances.
