Job summary

SPATCO Energy Solutions in Knoxville seeks an Electrical Helper to join our construction team working on fueling and charging projects. You will assist with installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment, and may travel out of town as needed.

The role offers in-house training to advance your understanding of construction and electrical work, requires a high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years as an apprentice, and emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliable performance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
2–3 years working as an apprentice with an electrical company (no journeyman card needed).
Knowledge of Electrician standards & codes.
Detail oriented and able to follow procedures.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift 75–100 lbs as needed.
Work outside in all types of weather.
Work under time constraints and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

Assist in the assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry.
Install conduits, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, POS consoles, tank monitors and petroleum lighting.
Inspect electrical system and components to verify safety and code compliance; verify proper operation of the system.
Advise management, customers and employees when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate.
Assist estimator with material take-off, material cost and labor allowances.
