Job summary

Design Solutions and Integration seeks an Electrical Estimator with strong field experience in Oil & Gas to support Permian Basin operations from Midland, TX. Frequent travel to industrial sites is required to scope, design-build, and estimate projects from site walks and verbal client requests.

The role emphasizes translating field notes into takeoffs using McCormick Systems, aligning with project teams, and budgeting for hazardous environments in West Texas oilfields.

Qualifications

• Ability to scope, design-build, and estimate electrical scopes from scratch.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, midstream, upstream or heavy industrial.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, and PMs.
• Experience with McCormick Systems or similar software (ConEst/Accubid).
• Willingness to travel to industrial sites and oilfields.
• Strong NEC knowledge for industrial wiring, hazardous areas, grounding.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Project teams to evaluate opportunities and bids.
• Review labor hours, material budgets, and scope with Project Managers.
• Conduct field walks to scope requirements and estimate without blueprints.
• Translate field notes into material and labor takeoffs using McCormick Systems.
• Maintain and adapt McCormick database for local conditions and crew rates.
• Scope for hazardous environments and budget accordingly (Class I, Division 1/2).
• Build client relationships during job walks and provide budget guidance.
