Job summary

Sungrow North America is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a hybrid role based in the Houston, TX area. The role supports service engineering for solar inverters and energy storage systems, with significant customer interaction and field work.

The ideal candidate will have 4 years of power electronics experience (or 2 years with a B.E. in electrical engineering), strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with safety standards and field testing.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in power electronics service roles or 2 years with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of electrical safety standards and test equipment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks involving solar inverters and battery storage tech.
• Lead field engineering assignments and interact with customers.
• Create and update field service procedures for troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with R&D in China for docs and training.
• Analyze failures and prepare root-cause reports.
• Provide training to customers, vendors, and internal personnel.
