Job summary

Sungrow is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its service engineering team in the Houston area. The role is hybrid or onsite depending on department needs and involves highly technical, customer-facing work on solar inverters and battery storage systems.

Responsibilities include leading field engineering tasks, troubleshooting, mentoring customers, coordinating with R&D in China, and producing technical reports.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with test equipment and hand tools.
• Customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Broad knowledge of electrical safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments involving solar inverters and battery storage tech.
• Lead more complex field engineering tasks.
• Interact with customers to explain project scope.
• Create and update field service procedures for troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with R&D in China for documents and training.
• Lead root cause analyses and prepare reports for customers.
• Support field service issues using Airtable to visualize progress.
