Job summary

Amazon AWS is looking for an experienced Critical Infrastructure Engineer to provide full life-cycle support for AWS Data Centers from design through maintenance. You will be the go-to engineering resource for your region, conducting RCA, developing corrective actions, and collaborating with operations, design, server hardware, and EHS teams to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and create corrective action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training and procedure reviews, including critical equipment and event support.
• Own the conceptual design for data center upgrades and design solutions to add capacity, improve availability and efficiency.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware and EHS teams to promote standards and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
• Work on concurrent projects across regions.
• Lead engineering audits and produce reports outlining risks with mitigations and remediations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting commissioning and turnover.
