Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer to provide full life-cycle support for AWS data centers from design inception through maintenance and upgrades.

You will serve as the go-to engineering resource in your region, collaborating with operations, design, and safety teams to ensure reliability and efficiency. The role involves field work, audits, site visits, and multi-region project leadership, with a strong emphasis on safety, performance, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or above.
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems.
• Ability to manage engineering projects and consultants.
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, conduct RCA and create CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and procedure reviews.
• Own the conceptual design for data center upgrades to add capacity and improve efficiency.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, safety teams.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
• Lead audits and field work across multiple regions.
