Job summary

Nakupuna Services is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to join the DoWEA Team as the primary electrical systems subject matter expert for Pacific Region facility surveys and assessments.

The engineer will perform on-site facility condition assessments of power distribution, lighting, emergency generators, UPS, fire alarm systems, and telecom infrastructure, with extensive travel to 21 installations across 45 campuses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of documented experience inspecting and evaluating commercial or institutional power distribution, emergency generation, lighting, and related electrical interfaces.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT/FE) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Facility Condition Assessments on institutional electrical systems and identify deficiencies.
  • Enter collected data and ratings into E-SMS within 90 days of each site visit.
  • Support FCAR development with verified electrical inventory and data.
  • Identify and record equipment ID information and ensure barcode/QR tagging compatibility.
  • Document life-cycle renewals for concealed components and capture photos with metadata.
  • Coordinate on-site safety, base access, and travel to multiple campuses across the Pacific Region.
