Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced In-Field EHS Consultant to provide on-site safety leadership across construction, industrial, manufacturing, energy, and technology projects in the United States. You will partner with project teams to ensure OSHA compliance and promote a strong safety culture on large-scale environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience in construction, industrial, or related environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance programs.
• Experience conducting field audits, inspections, safety observations, training and corrective actions.
• Strong communication with project managers, supervisors, craftsmen, and client reps.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic safety reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field safety observations, inspections and audits.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions with project teams.
• Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA and site safety requirements.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Prepare safety reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits and safe work plans.
• Support high-risk activities (fall protection, LOTO, confined space, crane operations, excavation, hot work, electrical safety).
• Serve as the liaison between workers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Promote safe work practices and assist with regulatory audits and continuous improvement.
