Job summary

Conquest Construction Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support planning, scheduling, procurement, and documentation across construction projects in New Jersey.

You will assist in developing schedules, managing subcontractors, preparing submittals, and tracking costs and changes. The role offers collaboration with experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, on-site field exposure, and opportunities to contribute to complex projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Solid understanding of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontractor coordination, and project administration.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Dependable team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to project success.
• Detail-oriented with task prioritization and deadline management in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Support development of project execution plans by contributing to planning, scheduling, and logistics discussions.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on purchasing activities, including scope definition, quantity take-offs, and procurement coordination.
• Prepare, track, and submit project submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications.
• Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, including tracking subcontractor activities and milestones.
• Monitor material deliveries to align with the project schedule and resolve delays.
• Manage assigned subcontracts, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate construction drawings and specifications with Project Manager and Superintendent for field accuracy.
• Draft and track change orders, obtain pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and perform cost estimates and take-offs.
• Support project closeout activities, including manuals, warranties, and final payment documentation.
• Act as the primary contact for project document control systems, ensuring accurate records and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
