Job summary

STV Incorporated seeks a Construction Management Intern for Summer 2027 to work with senior and junior designers on construction documents for major projects. The role emphasizes on-site oversight, field observations, and coordination with contractors to understand schedules and project requirements.

The intern will maintain records, attend weekly meetings, and assist with documentation and field coordination, gaining exposure to diverse sectors including commercial and aviation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in construction, project management, or a similar program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily on-site oversight of construction activities and document project progress.
• Conduct on-site observations of contractor work and identify potential quality issues or deviations from plans.
• Observe and document quality and quantity of work performed by contractor and QC/QA staff.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project plans, specs, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Review plans to understand project requirements and identify construction issues.
• Assist in determining need for changes based on field conditions and construction activities.
• Coordinate with contractors to understand and track the schedule of work.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, inspection records, and project documentation.
• Attend weekly project meetings and document updates and action items.
• Support project team with field documentation and coordination.
