Job summary

Town of Gilbert is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to verify GIS, LUCITY, and infrastructure records against field conditions, investigate discrepancies, and provide feedback on plans to prevent delays. The role involves field verification with GPS, SOP support, and backup duties for the Water Distribution Supervisor.

The position requires strong underground infrastructure knowledge, collaboration across departments, and willingness to work in a field-heavy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience reading record drawings/as-builts.
• 3 years of experience as a Senior M.O. Technician or lead with underground infrastructure.
• 3 years of experience using a CMMS.
• ADEQ certification: Water Distribution Grade 3, Wastewater Collections Grade 3, or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain Unmanned Part 107 Drone License within one year of hire.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Verifying and correcting the accuracy of GIS, LUCITY, and infrastructure records against real-world field conditions.
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies between mapped records, drawings, and what's installed in the field.
• Reviewing Capital Improvement Project and Developmental Services plans and providing feedback to catch conflicts.
• Conducting field verification using GPS technology to confirm locations of Town infrastructure.
• Supporting the Utility Locates Supervisor by helping develop SOPs and acting as backup for the Water Distribution Supervisor.
• Pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen; field-heavy work environment.
