Job summary

TTL, Inc. in Gardendale, AL is seeking a Drill Helper to join our field crew. You will assist with drilling operations, equipment handling, and sample retrieval, contributing to safe, efficient field work.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, the ability to lift heavy loads, and frequent travel (>50%). A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential, with a CDL considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Can pass a DOT physical to obtain a CDL; Class A CDL preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to travel (>50% travel) and lift 50-100 pounds; outdoor work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driller with all field activities, including lifting and assembling/disassembling drilling pipe and augers, operating small pumps and air compressors, shoveling material, and assisting with sample retrieval.
• Drive pickup trucks with trailers or equipment.
• Assist the driller and drilling manager with maintenance and repairs to drilling rigs.
• Clean drill rigs, trucks, and equipment.
• Participate in safety meetings.
