Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Driller Assistant in the Kansas City, KS area. The role involves assisting the Driller with soil drilling, rock coring, sampling, classifications, in-situ testing, and monitoring well installation.

The position requires travel up to 60%, handling heavy equipment, and working flexible hours. Candidates should have a High School diploma (CDL preferred), be able to lift 30–50 pounds, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% for assignments.
• Able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Physical capability to lift 30–50 pounds frequently and more with assistance when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driller to load/unload augers and assemble/disassemble augers.
• Prepare tooling and supplies for the day’s tasks.
• Assist with locating boring locations.
• Retrieve and log samples.
• Clean and maintain equipment and perform site cleanup.
