Job summary

The Raymond Corporation is seeking a Dock & Door Service Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot dock and door equipment. You will work with overhead doors, dock levelers, locks, safety gates, and truck shelters while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include installation, repair, site assessments, record-keeping, and ongoing training. The role requires a valid driver’s license, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic knowledge of DC electricity and AC electricity, motor control, and wiring preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems preferred.
• Welding and cutting torch experience preferred.
• Lift truck and scissor lift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, installations, and scheduled maintenance per company procedures.
• Diagnose faulty equipment and identify malfunction causes.
• Assess installation sites and address potential challenges.
• Maintain records of service work and repairs with honest, accurate paperwork.
• Complete safety training timely and maintain safe work habits.
• Obtain required certification for equipment operation.
• Drive safely within the service area with a clean driving record.
• Coordinate with dispatcher to maximize labor efficiency and time usage.
• Meet KPIs and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain company van, tools, inventory, and appearance.
