Job summary

Raymond West is seeking a Dock and Door Technician to join our service team. The role focuses on repairing and servicing all types of Dock and Door equipment RW sells and services, while maintaining strong communication with customers, peers, and management to represent and sell the company.

You will also ensure profitable billing, complete paperwork accurately, and stay current on training. Travel within territories is required; a valid driving record and Raymond Certification are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years breakdown experience or comparable service experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair all types of Dock and Door equipment that RW sells and services.
• Repair all types of equipment that Raymond West sells and services.
• Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Maintain a profitable billing level.
• Follow all Service Department procedures.
• Communicate with assigned Service leadership.
• Complete all paperwork transactions in a timely, neat, accurate and orderly fashion.
• Communicate all options to customers before proceeding with work.
• Have the necessary tools to perform repair and scheduled service work.
• Complete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable.
• Maintain a clean and orderly (inside and outside) vehicle.
• Maintain an accurate assigned parts inventory, if applicable.
• Represent the entire company at all times.
• Pass Raymond Certification and re-certification if applicable.
• Maintain good working knowledge of customers and equipment in assigned areas.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record as established by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Report accidents whether self or customer.
• Account for 100% of available time during working hours.
• Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Must coordinate all overtime with assigned supervisor.
• Must follow all procedures in the company’s Employee Handbook.
• Must follow safety procedures and use good judgment in regard to safety.
• Must be willing to work out of town as necessary.
• Establish a positive rapport with customers.
• Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Service Supervisors or Managers.
