Ampirical in Nashville, TN is seeking a dependable Field Distribution Specialist II to join our Cappstone Energy Group. You will design and support electric distribution projects with a focus on territory work, new line extensions and reinsulation, collaborating with field crews to ensure safe, reliable delivery.

This role requires 2+ years in electric distribution design, a related degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency with design software and GIS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electric distribution design or related utility work.
• Working knowledge of electric distribution systems, equipment, and design practices.
• Proficiency in design/drafting software, GIS, or related tools.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to travel within the state and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Perform field assessments and data collection for territory work and line extensions.
• Design and draft distribution layouts meeting standards and safety rules.
• Create detailed construction packages with drawings and material lists.
• Assist with pole replacement designs and support reconductor/tie-line projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams and field crews to resolve issues.
• Maintain records and update design systems; pursue process improvements.
