Job summary

UES is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily job assignments for Field Engineering Technicians and optimize scheduling to ensure timely service delivery. You will be the primary contact for client requests, using dispatching software to align deployments with location and availability, while supporting laboratory logistics and equipment check-outs.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment to support field

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 1-3 years of related training and/or experience with an AEC firm preferred.
• Computer skills to operate a laptop and email; ability to learn FDC software.
• Knowledge of standard field and laboratory procedures.
• Adaptability to changing schedules and hours.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret procedures, manuals, technical documents, and reports.
• Mathematical skills for all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with client representatives via phone and email for job assignments.
• Document conversations with clients and prepare work orders.
• Coordinate job assignments using dispatching software to maximize production and minimize travel time.
• Manage scheduling, deployment, and Time Off of all Field Technicians.
• Organizes laboratory sample retrieval and notifies the Laboratory Supervisor of pending rushes.
• Maintains log of Nuclear equipment checked in/out and distributes dosimeter badges.
• Assist the Productivity Project Manager with word orders and paperwork issues.
• Obtain and organize all purchase orders prior to scheduling Technicians.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
