Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Disaster Program Delivery Specialist to support eligibility determination, applicant communications, and claims review for FEMA Public Assistance programs. You will coordinate inspections, gather project data, and work with field teams to ensure timely, accurate processing of disaster recovery efforts.

The role requires organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while traveling domestically as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Domestic travel is required.
  • 5 years of in-field experience (2 years with a bachelor’s degree).

Responsibilities

  • Collects, coordinates and/or reviews applicant data to determine eligibility and priority of assignments, including audits for completeness and reviews of PDA information.
  • Supports communication with applicants about status by scheduling regular meetings and coordinating document transmission.
  • Reviews and validates damage details, scopes of work and costs with applicants; participates in FEMA meetings and may evaluate claims for eligibility.
  • Coordinates basic to moderately complex site inspections to validate and record damage for FEMA Public Assistance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a FEMA Badge, including background investigation for a Public Trust position.
