Job summary

GLIDE is seeking a Field Director for the Cecil Williams Community Ambassadors Program to lead a team delivering low-threshold case management, outreach, and community building in the Tenderloin. You will drive program outcomes, ensure contract compliance, and coordinate with city partners to address local needs.

The role requires experience managing large teams, strong communication, trauma-informed care knowledge, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing contract reporting, community engagement, safety programs, and/or related initiatives.
• Proven experience managing a team of ten or more employees using coaching, mentoring, and progressive discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of local community dynamics, social services, and public safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and quality assurance for Field Manager, Shift Leads and Street Ambassadors, upholding high standards of care.
• Oversee daily deployment, scheduling, and assignments for Ambassadors, ensuring coverage on routes and times.
• Lead refinement of comprehensive case management practices to support individuals in need.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to maximize service connections within the engagement, referral, connection model.
• Coordinate safety monitoring and emergency response protocols, including Narcan administration and CPR training.
• Represent GLIDE at community meetings and events, advocating for Tenderloin community needs.
• Maintain KPI reports and contract compliance with funding requirements.
