As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech IV - Field Service), you'll perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited supervision in a safe, professional manner. You can improve and challenge yourself daily, with potential for leadership roles in our Service Department. All team members are expected to provide exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment using independent judgment.
• Travel to customer sites for equipment repair/maintenance; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain detailed work documentation daily.
• Assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable record.
• 5+ years of equipment repair/maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, schematics, and diagrams.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals policies.
