As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service), you'll perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment safely and professionally. You'll have opportunities to grow into higher Service Technician and leadership roles, providing exceptional customer service along the way.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and repair a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Complete paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed daily.
• Assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of tools.
• Strong knowledge of engines.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive per United Rentals' policies.
