About the Role

Join United Rentals as a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service). Use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment safely and professionally. This role offers opportunities for growth into higher Service Technician and leadership roles within our Service Department, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain documentation of work performed accurately and timely.
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup/delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.
• 3-5 years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools and engines.
• Own applicable tools.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently.
