Job summary
Syngenta Group in Madison, WI; the Heartland Crop Protection Field Development Intern program offers hands-on exposure to crop protection product development. You will work with experienced R&D scientists on meaningful projects, gaining field, greenhouse, and laboratory experience while developing technical and professional leadership skills.
The Emerging Talent Program provides day-to-day business exposure, independence with supervision, and opportunities to shadow cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture/Biology-related degree program.
- Continued enrollment after internship with graduation date December 2027 or later.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors and outside normal hours.
- Experience with basic farm equipment is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, treatment application, maintenance, in-field data capture, and hosting field tours.
- Support trialing activities and collaboration with local Syngenta sales/agronomy teams.
- Learn product development processes and operate independently with safety compliance.
- Develop personal development goals and complete an internship project with guidance.
- Present a final internship project summary to stakeholders.
