Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection is seeking a Heartland Crop Protection Field Development Intern in Grand Island/Hastings, NE. The role provides hands‑on field, greenhouse, and laboratory exposure, working with R&D scientists on crop protection product development and technology trials.

As part of the Emerging Talent Program, you’ll shadow projects, pursue personal goals, and gain experience in data capture, analysis, and collaboration with sales and agronomy teams.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or advanced degree program in Agriculture, Biological Sciences, or another related field.
• Continued enrollment after internship concludes (graduation date December 2027 or later).
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors and outside normal working hours.

Responsibilities

• Build knowledge of Syngenta, crop protection, and the product development process.
• Support trialing activities: planting, treatment application, maintenance, data capture and summarization.
• Collaborate with local Syngenta commercial teams and cross‑functional partners.
• Learn independent work skills and safety guidelines.
• Deliver a final internship project summary to stakeholders.
