Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection invites you to join the Crop Protection Field Development Intern program in Visalia, CA. You will work with experienced R&D scientists on meaningful projects that contribute to product development, gaining hands-on field, greenhouse, and laboratory experience while building technical and leadership skills.

As part of the Emerging Talent Program, you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges, shadow daily operations, and pursue personal development goals

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an Associate’s, Bachelor's, or advanced degree program in Agriculture, Biological Sciences, or related field.
• Continued enrollment after internship concludes (graduation date of December 2027 or later).
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors and outside normal working hours.
• Proficiency operating basic farm equipment is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build knowledge of Syngenta, crop protection, and the product development process.
• Develop understanding of Crop Protection Field Development’s role in research and development.
• Support trialing activities such as planting, treatment application, maintenance, in-field data capture, data summarization, and field tours.
• Understand collaboration with local Syngenta sales and agronomy teams.
• Learn processes and skills used to develop products and technologies.
• Learn to work independently and in safety guidelines.
