Job summary

CBTS seeks a Field Deployment Engineer to travel to customer sites and validate third-party infrastructure deployments, providing hands-on installation support for GPU servers, switches, and structured cabling. This is an onsite role based in Edison, NJ with nationwide travel during rollout.

You will lead small onsite installation teams, assess install quality against deployment standards, and ensure work meets company quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center deployments, field services, infrastructure installation, or network physical-layer work.
• Ability to assess installation quality and follow deployment standards.
• Hands-on experience installing servers, switches, and structured cabling (MPO, ethernet) in a data center.
• Willing to travel frequently across the U.S. and lead small onsite installation teams.
• Comfortable working independently at customer sites with minimal supervision.

Role: Field Deployment Engineer (Install & Validation)

Duration: 12-month contract with potential extensions

Location: Edison NJ, Onsite

Travel to deployment sites across the U.S., potentially 80% during full rollout.

Pay rate: $55-60/hour W2, client will not consider C2C

Travel expenses for reimbursement.

This role ensures installations meet company standards and quality expectations across both third-party and internally performed work.

Required skills:

• Experience in data center deployments, field services, infrastructure installation, or network physical-layer work.


• Ability to assess installation quality and follow defined deployment standards.


• Hands-on experience installing servers, switches, and structured cabling (MPO, ethernet) in a data center environment.


• Comfortable working independently at customer sites and leading small onsite installation teams, with minimal day-to-day oversight.


• Willing and able to travel frequently throughout the U.S.


• Able to perform physical installation work in data center environments, including hands-on cabling and equipment install.
